Bailong Chuangyuan Bio-tech’s Resistant Dextrin Project Wins Second Prize in Shandong Bio-fermentation Industry Science and Technology Awards
On March 28. 2021, the Shandong Bio-fermentation Industry Association announced its award decision, granting the Second Prize of the Shandong Bio-fermentation Industry Science and Technology Award to Bailong Chuangyuan Bio-tech for its "Key Technology Development and Application in the Preparation of Soluble Dietary Fiber (Resistant Dextrin)."
The project has achieved significant technological breakthroughs, including advancements in starch liquefaction and saccharification hydrolysis, innovative acid hydrolysis processes, and the optimization of dextrinization reaction conditions and controllable polymerization. These innovations have enhanced the controllability of the polymerization degree and improved the stability of the resistant dextrin product. By employing multiple advanced technologies, the project successfully addressed key technical challenges in the preparation process, such as controlling product polymerization degree, solubility, dietary fiber content, taste, and flowability. It has effectively overcome common drawbacks found in existing products, such as low uniformity, poor stability, dark color, and pronounced bitterness. The resulting resistant dextrin product boasts a purity of ≥95%.
The selection process strictly followed the regulations outlined in the Shandong Bio-fermentation Industry Science and Technology Award Charter. It involved several stages, including application acceptance, formal review, two rounds of expert evaluation, and result (public announcement). Ultimately, upon approval by the association, a total of 15 Science and Technology Progress Awards were conferred. Among these, 3 projects received the First Prize, 5 projects the Second Prize, and 7 projects the Third Prize.
